    For its 3rd edition, the David with Goliath Prize, which each year honours the best collaborations between start-ups and major companies, unveils the 10 finalist teams of the competition.

    This prize, created in 2017 by RAISE and Bain & Company, aims to highlight French best practices in Open Innovation and to highlight the most value-creating alliances between start-ups and large companies. Out of more than 100 applications received this year, ten have been pre-selected and only three will be selected to be pitched before the final jury composed of executives of major companies - Gilles Pélisson (TF1), Marguerite Bérard (BNP Paribas), Pascal Clouzard (Carrefour), Antoine Lemarchand (Nature and Discoveries), Rodolphe Carle (Babilou), Olivier Duha (Webhelp) or Valérie Decamp (Mediatransports) - and entrepreneurs (Rania Belkahia (Afrimarket), Romain Moulin (Exotec solutions), Charlotte Cadé (Selency), Séverine Grégoire (MesDocteurs et Monshowroom.com).

    At stake for the winner David: a €100,000 honorary loan RAISESHERPAS at zero interest and six months of strategic coaching offered by Bain & Company. The David with Goliath Prize award ceremony will be held on 25 November at the Palais Brongniart in Paris. This event will bring together more than 700 decision-makers from large companies and the entrepreneurial ecosystem, all convinced of the economic and strategic importance of alliances between start-ups and large companies.

    Discovering the 10 finalist pairs :

    -> Agricool x CMA CGM
    CMA CGM, the world's leading container ship company, joined forces with Agricool 18 months ago to enable the start-up to carry out a crazy project: the industrial development of a green container for urban agriculture. Indeed, the startup has set up a recycled container to store the equivalent of 4000 square meters of land, to grow fruit and vegetables without pesticides, in a completely eco-responsible way, in an urban environment.

    -> Andjaro x Engie
    Andjaro, a staffing optimization solution that simplifies and makes it easier and more flexible to find internal employees for specific assignments, caught the eye of Goliath Engie. In 2017, they began a collaboration with the Engie Ineo subsidiary, now extended to the entire B2B France subsidiary of the Engie Group. The solution makes it possible to better distribute employees and talents according to the needs of each operational department and to enhance the competence of employees sent to reinforce other sites than their own.

    -> Euveka x CHANEL
    In order to reduce clothing waste, the startup Euveka has developed a robot-model that can change at will the size of the pelvis, body size, chest size, etc., which can be adjusted to 80% of female morphologies. This startup has thus joined forces with Maison CHANEL, which allows the luxury house to combine a technological innovation approach with the traditional professions in the sector, to serve a new foreign clientele with a different morphology, and to meet the needs of customers who want ever more personalization.

    -> Goshaba x McDonald's
    It is thanks to the startup Goshaba that almost all McDonald's restaurants in France (1464) have been able to transform their recruitment methods. Indeed, the startup has created a solution adapted to the new recruitment needs of the fast food giant, more fun and intuitive, which ensures a more precise evaluation of the candidate in order to highlight all his skills. The idea is to offer everyone a chance on the job market, where the CV often creates inequalities.

    -> Hiflow x Aramisauto
    Hiflow and Aramisauto joined forces more than three years ago today. As early as 2016, the automotive player wanted to offer home delivery for customers who had bought new or used vehicles on its site. The alliance with the startup allows more than 400 deliveries and take-overs of vehicles to be made at home each month.

    -> K-Ryole x Bouygues Construction
    Goliath Bouygues Construction and startup K-Ryole have co-developed, thanks to a collaboration born in early 2018, an intelligent electric hand truck. This truck improves the efficiency and safety of load transport on construction sites, reducing annoyance and accidents for companions. The trolley is able to carry up to 300kg of load effortlessly and in a totally intuitive way.

    -> Qarnot Computing x Casino
    Qarnot Computing and Groupe Casino sealed their alliance just under a year ago, after a meeting at the CES in Vegas 2018. The partnership led to the creation of a joint venture called ScaleMax. Micro-data centres have been installed in the Casino group's warehouses, which are capable of regulating heating consumption in buildings as well as optimizing and improving the quality of life.
